The Ocean Cleanup

A well-known, truly great, and persistent project that has constantly evolved and improved over the years – we want to support them. It's also for those who conveniently just want to support a cause that's hard to disagree with – because who wouldn’t want cleaner oceans? 😊

Fashion Revolution

A truly inspiring organization in our industry, which constantly tries to make us aware of the structural and systemic problems we face. And how we can consume more consciously.

They are behind the hashtags: #whomademyclothes, #whomademyfabrics.

Malala Fund

When girls gain access to education (which about 120 million girls currently do not have), their life circumstances change because they get a chance to support themselves. Birth rates drop dramatically, and in every way, it is better for all societies when girls are educated and grow into independent adults who contribute equally with boys/men.

In our industry, 80% of those who sew our clothes worldwide are unskilled women who have no opportunities in life. They have no voice, they work far beyond full-time every week for far less than a living wage, and they still bear all the household responsibilities because they live in patriarchal societies. They dream on behalf of their children, not for themselves. With education in their childhood years, they gain other opportunities in life, which they should have access to on an equal footing with boys.

Did you know…

Many girls might be allowed to attend school by their parents if they receive food at school? This saves the family a meal. When they reach secondary school (6th-7th-8th-9th grade), parents often want to pull them out again because they represent a potential workforce. But by offering food not only to the girl but also a meal for the family each day if she is allowed to stay in school, more girls are permitted to continue. A sneaky trick, right? 😊. But it works…
